Williamsburg Community Growers’ vision is to grow Williamsburg's healthy community food ecosystem.  WCG operates an experimental teaching farm and community garden located on a 10-acre parcel of land underneath a Dominion Energy power line in between Warhill High School and the Williamsburg Indoor Sports Complex. This site was originally operated by the Colonial Soil and Water Conservation District (CSWCD).  WCG became a 501c3 non-profit corporation in 2016 and secured a land use agreement with James City County in 2017. WCG continues to develop the space with support from CSWCD and other community, regional, state and national partners.

Over the past two years, WCG has donated hundreds of pounds of fresh, locally grown produce to community organizations and low-income neighborhoods, facilitated dozens of field trips and educational opportunities with local schools, provided locally grown produce for farm to school cafeteria programming, and helped demonstrate real conservation opportunities to protect our surrounding natural resources.

We can't wait to see what the coming years will bring, and we hope you'll join us to find out.
